Our Church

This church is one of many branches of The Mother Church,The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. The Christian Science church was founded in 1879 “to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing.” (Church Manual, p. 17)

Bible lessons read at our Sunday services are based on readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Wednesday meetings include readings on timely topics, hymn singing, and special opportunity to glorify God by sharing healing testimonies resulting from study of Christian Science.

Our Reading Room and Sunday School

OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School is held at 10:30, the same hour as our church service. All young people up to the age of 20 are invited to join with other students where, with the help of our textbook, they explore truths revealed in the Bible and learn how to make them practical in their lives. Lessons taught include the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Sermon on the Mount.

OUR READING ROOM

Are you looking for a quiet, peaceful place to study Christian Science? Welcome to the Reading Room. Here the Bible and our textbook, Science and Health may be studied, borrowed, or purchased. The Christian Science Monitor, other Christian Science periodicals, and a large array of other books and articles about Christian Science are available. You will find authenticated cases of healing accomplished solely through the practice of Christian Science.
